Levin Scheips born 1985 is a german artist based in bielefeld, north rine-westphalia. He started his career as a dj and producer early 2008 and in the begining he merely recorded some podcasts for his private audience like just everyone. Addicted to music making, meeting and learning from a lot of good producers he has grown in what he’s doing till today. On stage Levin has found his own unique style to perform live with a bunch of midi controllers in combination with a classic dj act. The sound he plays is depending on the event but mostly in a kind of deep and driving techno that comes with a intense energy. Peaktime music! On the other hand in his studio levin is further more used to produce calm and melodical tunes. The releases and podcasts he builds are much more atmospheric, frisky and progressive. His Remix of „Pleasures“ from Max Cooper & BRAIDS or „Creatures“ from Ryan Davis & Applescal are two decent examples for this musical fashion. Nowadays Levin is a well known electronic music artist and a resident dj of the famous „Freunde der guten Musik“ & „Tiefklang“ events. living life to the max and loving it. ok so heres my story. about 30 years ago i went clubbing all by myself, sad!! i hear you say but not really is my answer as i loved what Djs done and wanted to do it. At first i used 2 portable cd players and a mixer that did not work out so well lol. i then upgraded to cdj's paid loads of money but still felt as if my work was lacking in areas my beat mixing was way off and i had high and low tracks which sounded quite bad in the mix. i then had some lessons in beat mixing which helped me loads. i joined up to house-mixes and met some very helpful people there who help me loads with my mixes im still very critical of my own work and always mix on the fly. i pay for all my tracks as i thank the ones who made them. i will give you my work for free so if you want a mix, message me and i will hook you up free of charge 😁 my fav quote: its better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. respect😁

mini MIDI keyboard KORG,NanoKEY KORG, NanoKONTROL KORG controller for my softwares, MIC ENTRIES WITH FX, ELECTRIC GUITAR, I now use the akai MPD24 pads for manual control on my beats production. for my mixes I use the NUMARK TOTAL CONTROL(mini dj turntables with all the necessary options i need to mixe and plug&play to my laptop) SOFTWARE PROGRAMS SUCH AS VIRTUAL DJ, BEATCRAFT AND MIXCRAFT from ACOUSTICA, now also work with FRUITYLOOP full producer version.It gives me infinite options...just sick.... I mostly do my productions on my powerfull laptop that can handle several programs at a time easily. So far I can create my own beats if I want if not I take samples and rearrange them to give something totally new. My next step is to get myself a actual drum machine. But my laptop is my savior so far. It prooved itself few times already in small parties I held in MTL. Its a blessing with technology of today...
